Our research team, the Innovative Networked Systems (INETs) Research Group, is pleased to announce the successful PhD defense of Dr. Fady Alkhateeb , who defended his doctoral thesis entitled “An Effective Metaverse Asset Management Protocol” at the Department of Computer Engineering, Karabük University.
This work presents significant contributions to #MetaverseTechnologies, #BlockchainInteroperability, and #DigitalAssetManagement .
His research, titled “An Effective Metaverse Asset Management Protocol,” introduces a pioneering framework designed to solve the critical challenges of asset interoperability within the decentralized web. His work addresses the limitations of "walled garden" restrictions and cross-chain isolation, providing a secure, user-centric solution for managing digital assets across heterogeneous metaverse platforms.
Dr. Fady's research was conducted under the supervision of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Adib Habbal , a distinguished expert in Computer Engineering at Karabük University, whose mentorship was instrumental in guiding this research toward significant technical contributions in blockchain and metaverse architectures.
The examination committee included:
• Chairman: Prof. Dr. Ahmet Zengin (Sakarya University of Applied Sciences - SUBU)
• Member: Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hakan Kutucu (Karabük University - KBU)
• Member: Assist. Prof. Dr. Oğuzhan Menemencioğlu (Karabük University - KBU)
• Member: Assist. Prof. Dr. Feras Zen Alden (Dhofar University - DU, Oman)
The committee commended Dr. Fady for his technical depth, particularly his innovative application of zk-SNARKs and the BN128 curve to achieve gas-efficient, privacy-preserving asset portability. His research was recognized for its potential to mitigate asset value loss and eliminate the fragmentation currently hindering the scalability of the global Metaverse.
Dr. Fady's achievement marks a major milestone in his academic and professional career. His work further strengthens Karabük University's position as a hub for excellence in emerging blockchain technologies and decentralized systems.
We look forward to his future innovations as he continues to lead the development of high-availability systems and scalable blockchain architectures.
Congratulations once again, Dr. Fady! Your dedication to advancing the frontiers of secure digital asset management serves as an inspiration to the entire research community.
